This is a half day courses which aims to update participants who have already attended a full one day course in child protection within the last two years. The legal requirement is that all staff should attend a full one day child protection course every three years and then attend a update course every year.
This Half day courses which aims to update participants in identifying how to recognise child abuse and what action to take. It will also teach knowledge and recognition of signs and indicators of abuse; how to refer; the roles and functions of agencies; who does what in protecting children; good practice in working with parents.
It will also update participants in new legislation and government policy and procedures.
The full course programme is available on request. The course will cost £99.00 + VAT per person, which will include course materials and tea and coffee.
